The Muses

The Muses are elegant ceramic figurines designed by the Belgian sculptor Renaat Ramon. They are characters from Greek mythology and represent the daughters of the gods Zeus and Mnemosyne. In ancient tales, the Muses are regarded as inspirational goddesses of literature, science and the arts. The subtle femininity and the contrast between sharp and smooth lines make these figurines enrapturing and eye-catching art objects.

They are handmade in the Brazilian ceramics studio Cores da Terra. The Muses are coloured in the mass and are available in white, ochre and natural clay colour and three sizes: small - plus - large. Differences in colour and size are a natural result of the artisanal manufacturing process.
