You might spot some familiar design vibes in Mio, reminiscent of our Ami series, also crafted by the talented Takagi/Homstvedt. But Mio? It’s got its own groove, blending simple yet clever details that effortlessly enhance any space. With its lapped steel framework and dual circular plates, Mio nods to modernist architecture with its bold cantilevers. And let’s not forget the handy bottom shelf – perfect for stashing away those little bits and pieces! 

“We originally designed Mio to complement Hjelle’s Ami sofa program; however, as the family of occasional tables developed, they immediately took on a life of their own. Featuring a lapped steel framework that supports two circular planes, Mio simultaneously references modernist architecture with its daring cantilevers and the primitive legibility of Enzo Mari’s Autoprogettazione. The table surfaces are available in a range of materials that include a softly profiled solid oak, tinted glass and Larvikitt granite, the iconic Norwegian stone instantly recognized by its crystalline structure. Additionally, Mio comes flat packed and is assembled in minutes with just a few screws.”
